Consumer Direct was our 3rd and final in-home quote and it was the first time I felt comfortable. David was knowledgeable, understanding and refreshingly not pushy. He also was the only window company we met with that understood the Greener Homes Program that we had already been enrolled in.
They helped us maximize the available rebates and the offer was very fair and they were very patient.
Overall it felt like the right choice because of all these factors. The windows have now been installed and we are very happy with the final result.
Our favourite is the big picture window in our dining room. (Before and after photos of that window included, both interior and exterior!)

We were overdue to change our doors and windows and David was quick to understand our requirements and offer options within our budget. He also helped direct us to another company that helped take advantage of the Green home rebate. Installation was efficient and clean, and in the 8 months post install, the difference in temperature is noticeable!

I've had the pleasure dealing with Consumer Direct Windows and Doors to replace the aging doors and windows in my house. The house is approximately 1800 sqft; 18 years old at the time and all original builder materials. Needless to say, they were long overdue for a replacement.

I got in touch with a few Window and Door places, but ultimately ended up dealing with Consumer Direct. The sales representative, Dave, gave us an amazing price and assured me and my wife the qualify workmanship. He answered all the questions and concerns we've had, and was a pleasure to deal with.

After signing up, we were informed of few delays in getting the windows installed, but Dave was transparent about their supplier situation and assured us that we were a priority to them. He kept us in the loop almost every week and we appreciated that excellent communication.

Once the doors and windows were installed, my wife and I knew right away that we had made the right choice. The workers kept the house clean and was very respectful as to not damage anything. Everything was installed within a day, and we haven't had to contact them for any follow repairs.

There are no longer any drafts coming in during winter time, and I've seen a significant drop in my heating and AC bills. Highly recommended!!

All new windows and slider

We greatly needed to replace all of the windows on our main and upper floors and received a few quotes. In addition to the windows, we also had wood surrounding some of our windows which was starting to rot, and those needed to be replaced or covered. We decided to go with Consumer Direct due to the quality of the 3 paned windows and the fact that they were willing to take care of the cladding on the wood outside. Other providers that quoted us did not offer this service. We were also interested in applying for the rebate offered by the government and appreciated that Consumer Direct facilitated that process including the appointment set for the pre-inspection with EnerGuy after that it was smooth sailing and we had our rebate within the year. I understand the process in applying with the government can be time-consuming and difficult so tremendously appreciated this extra service. I would highly recommend this company and will be using them again for replacing our front door.

Over all happy with the end product, price was very competitive compared to competitors. I got quotes from seven different companies in total other competitors were all really pushy trying to make me sign right away and basically telling me if I didn't sign now price would go up a few thousand dollars within 24 hours ? if I took a day to think about it. Jerry the sales person with consumer wasn't pushy at all and gave me some time to think about it I didn't feel rushed. That's why I ended up going with consumer direct good communication and understanding goes a long way. Would highly recommend this company.
